Ultimately, I respectfully disagreed. I made sure that I settled the bill after speaking with him because of the time he and his staff took with me.
Months later I had an issue with billing. My insurance did not cover the type of X-ray that was provided. I discussed the matter with Dr. Sherry's staff. My main concern was that I was there for a basic cleaning which requires an X-ray. The type of X-ray given (panoramic)was not covered. I felt that I was taken advantage of because I was not presented an option of an alternate X-ray that may have been covered,nor was I advised of the possible denial of coverage.

Okay, so after many, many horrible dental experiences & being terrified to walk into another dentist office again, the inevitable became real that my teeth needed major attention.
Staff was very friendly! They were able to get me right in and Dr. Sherry was knowledgeable, quick, and made me feel very comfortable.
I had an ache in my jaw that I thought might be a cracked tooth so I set out to find a dentist as I am new to the Cape Coral area. Dr. Sherry was able to accommodate me on short notice and I was welcomed by his smiling staff.
My new patient visit (cleaning) was pleasant. Dr. Sherry seemed knowledgeable and easy to talk to during my visit.
Modern office and very reasonably priced, we have found our a new dentist.

Eventually, the staff told me that they would discuss this matter with Dr. Sherry and someone would call me back later. To my surprise, Dr. Sherry called me back personally within minutes. I expressed to him that I was there for services that was covered by my insurance and that I felt that I was taken advantage of by not making me aware of possible denial of coverage for the X-ray. He was pleasant to speak to. He heard my concerns and presented a fair explanation and stood by the billing decision.
I highly, highly recommend Dr. Sherry & wish him great success for the future in his practice!!
I Still recommend his office, but I will caution you to carefully review your insurance benefits before treatment (as we all should anyways). But like most, I rely on the staff of making me aware of possible denial of coverage; especially on something as routine as a cleaning and X-ray visit.
