Action Electric just came through for me. My home office circuit blew today at noon. I reset the circuit breaker and it blew immediately again. So I knew I needed a professional. I called a dozen electricians in the Cape and none could make it over the same day.

This should have been a simple problem. I know something about electrical wiring, so I went over the entire list of possible culprit. None of them were the problem. This job turned into a mystery and Jeff said he was prepared to work until midnight if necessary to solve the problem. Fortunately, that wasn't necessary.

I got a callback from Doug at Action Electric (owner) who said he had a service man finishing a job at about 5PM and he'd send him over. At 5PM, Jeff, the electrician walked in.

To make a long story lousy, I'll cut to the chase. He found the problem. Some faulty wiring of a switch that had not been triggered before because it was part of a two-way switch and both switches were never on at the same time. But today was the day they both got turned on and caused an immediate short in our circuit breaker panel.
