Worst city to work in. Take forever to get anything done. I wish there a zero star.

This is by far one of the worst places to come and apply for Building permits. The permit techs are slow as molasses and take their sweet time to get anything done. I'm very familiar with the Building industry in Southwest Florida and know many people as I'm a Permitting Services company and hear many negative comments about this jurisdiction. As a Cape Coral resident it's aggravating to hear how this Department is worst than the Soviet Union, or how they make you wait for hours to be able to turn in an NOC document, or how there's a bunch of old people taking permits in and just talking and wasting everyone's time. I think it's time to revolutionize the way this Department operates and make it the very best in Southwest Florida. To City officials I say the following, people hate coming to this Building Department because of how long it takes to get things done. Your responsibility as officials is to make sure citizens, visitors, contractors, and pretty much everyone bringing their money and business to the city feel welcome NOT stuck in line waiting forever.
